Ensemble
The Virginia Beach Chorale Ensemble, under the direction of Crystal Villanova, is composed of 20-24 members from the full Chorale. This group performs a variety of music throughout the year as part of the Chorale’s community outreach. They have shared music in local venues including churches, schools, retirement communities, city events, and memorials.
Crystal Villanova serves as our Virginia Beach Chorale Ensemble director. Crystal earned a Music Education degree from Winthrop University specializing in piano and choral music. She worked as the choral director at Chester High School in Chester, SC and directed the middle school chorus at Norfolk Academy. In addition to directing the ensemble, Crystal teaches piano lessons through the Academy of Music in Norfolk, VA , works for Virginia Beach Public Schools and performs locally as a freelance accompanist and vocalist.

Dyanna currently serves as the fulltime Music Director, organist and accompanist at Nimmo UMC. She also directs handbells, choir, children's music and teaches piano. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor's in Music Education with an emphasis on piano. For many years she accompanied for private schools and non-profit organizations and taught in her own private studio. She enjoys teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities, singing and playing harp as a hobby.
